Join the dBx Acoustics Team
Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant needed to join us in Manchester.
Could you be the next member of the dBx Acoustics team?
This is a great opportunity for a talented consultant to take their next step on the career ladder. Working in our central Manchester office, you’ll be managing your own projects, building and nurturing client relationships, and supporting and mentoring junior staff.
You are an acoustic consultant with a few (or several!) years’ experience under your belt. We are more interested in your ability than we are in ‘time served’ but you’ll need to have experience of managing a wide variety of projects from proposal to completion.
You have a wide range of experience and are confident to work on both environmental noise and building acoustics jobs. You have a thorough understanding of acoustic theory and standards, and an enquiring mind – always looking to learn and understand more about what you do.
Your core role at dBx Acoustics will be to run your own project portfolio, calling on assistance from junior staff and advice from senior staff as necessary. But, being part of a small, close knit team, you understand the importance of sometimes getting your hands dirty on noise surveys and site visits. You’re also keen to help with some aspects of the day to day running of the business, including invoicing and client relationships.
We need a fully rounded consultant – someone who can write well constructed, clear reports, but with the technical knowhow to back up their conclusions. You must be a member of the Institute of Acoustics and hold a relevant qualification.
dBx Acoustics was founded in 2013 and has recently relocated to central Manchester. We work on all kinds of projects, including large residential schemes, office fit out, and noise impact assessments. We are small but ambitious, and our reputation as technically excellent and innovative acoustic consultants is growing.
We take what we do seriously, but we’re a great place to work. We have an office dog, and we aren’t afraid to be a little silly, or to escape for ice cream and beer when the weather gets hot. We offer a workplace pension and we are committed to supporting your personal and professional development. Oh, and we’re family friendly and flexible – if you’re looking for a part time role, or are returning to work after a break, don’t be afraid to apply.
Our project portfolio is growing. We need your help to enable us take on more of Manchester’s exciting schemes and maintain our high standards. Join us at the start of what is sure to be an exciting growth journey!
