Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park
dBx Acoustics worked with architects Purcell for the Welsh Highland Railway Society on the design of the new station for the Welsh Highland Railway at Caernarfon.
The £3.5 million station building opened in 2019 and includes a cafe and exhibition and educational space, as well as the station platform for the WHR’s beautiful steam trains
The Welsh Highland Railway is the UK’s longest heritage railway and runs for 25 miles from Caernarfon, past the foot of Snowdon and the picture postcard village of Beddgelert, then through the stunning Aberglaslyn Pass and on to Porthmadog.
